We start our meditation series by focusing on your breathing - the oldest and most basic meditation technique. The beauty of this is that of course we breathe all day everyday, so focusing on it is something you can chose to do anywhere, anytime, even for just a few minutes.

Chose your position (sitting, lying, standing, walking), close your eyes, press your tongue to your palate, close your mouth and breathe through your nose. Inhale deeply into your abdomen. Exhale through a slightly open mouth until your lungs are empty. Focus on your breath as you inhale and exhale. Count breaths if that feels right. The goal is not to think about your breath but to quiet your mind and simply become aware of it.

Taking just a few minutes timeout to breathe with alleviate stress and being lightness and ease not only to your body (notice shoulder tension melt away) but the rest of your day.
